Day 2: Barkot to Yamunotri and Return

After breakfast, proceed to Janki Chatti or Phool Chatti, the starting point of the trek to Yamunotri. From here, you begin a trek of about 6 km, which can be completed on foot, pony, or palanquin.

On reaching Yamunotri, take a holy dip in the Surya Kund hot spring and perform darshan at the Yamunotri Temple. This sacred place marks the origin of the Yamuna River and is surrounded by majestic peaks and glaciers.
